Thirteen-years after volunteering at ground zero on 9/11 as a first responder Aryn developed inoperable stage IV throat cancer. As a result, he endured rigorous radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He also used his hand-crafted cannabis oils as an adjunct therapy for the side-effects of his treatments. Six months after starting treatment, he was re-diagnosed with no evidence of disease. Grounded in humility, he created the CannaCauses Foundation, to pay it forward. His mission; to educate others about the responsible use of cannabis and to collect data on its therapeutic benefits.

Since 2014, Aryn and his foundation have educated tens of thousands of individuals, patients, and medical and wellness professionals around the world. His work has been peer reviewed and published at medical and science conferences and his products and wellness formulas have earned him multiple awards across several industries.
